To develop and implement high-quality effective local programs to fulfill Air Quality requirements and address community concerns, thereby protecting the community’s quality of life while facilitating orderly growth. 

Established by the City Council in 1991, Air Quality Commission administers a variety of programs to improve the health and welfare of our citizens by ensuring that the quality of the air in Pendleton meets healthful, regulatory standards.
