Public Works Water Superintendent

The City of Pendleton is accepting applications for a Water Superintendent. Position is responsible for the operation, maintenance, repair, and construction activities targeted to provide high-quality drinking water in the Water Division of the Public Works Department. Requires extensive knowledge of the operation and maintenance of municipal water supply and distribution systems.  Must have excellent communication skills; budgeting, planning, and supervisory experience; and computer proficiency.  Must have, or be able to obtain within 6 months of hire certification in Water Distribution Class III and Water Treatment Class II.   Limited Maintenance Electrician license preferred, but not required. Requires two-years of water or wastewater technical school with an Associate Degree or equivalent, plus 7-years of experience relating to the construction, repair and maintenance of water, sewer, street, or storm drainage systems or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
