Public Works Superintendent

The City of Pendleton is accepting applications for a Superintendent in our Public Works Department. Position may perform any variety of supervisory, administrative, skilled, technical, and maintenance work in the planning, construction, operation, repair, maintenance, and replacement of City water, sewer, street, and storm drainage facilities and systems. Coordinates all work with other supervisors and utilities/agencies. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent; seven (7) years of experience in the construction, repair and maintenance of water, sewer, street, or storm drainage systems including the operation of related maintenance equipment; or any satisfactory equivalent combination of education and experience. Special requirements are you must possess, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid Class A commercial driver’s license and have a satisfactory driving record. Must be able to pass the department’s security clearance standards including review of driving record and criminal. Must have or be able to get within 6 months of hire, Operator in Direct Responsible Charge certification for Wastewater Collection IV.
