Municipal Court Judge

The City of Pendleton is seeking qualified applicants for part-time Municipal Court Judge.   A qualified candidate must be a member of the Oregon State Bar Association or have completed training by the National Judicial College.  Judicial experience or attorney with criminal defense and/or public defender experience is preferred. Experience in supervision of staff and municipal courts is desirable.

Duties will include all aspects of judicial service in a non-record justice level court which hears misdemeanor, violation, and post-sentence proceedings.  Duties also include court attendance at 2 half-day and one full-day session per week.  Court scheduling is flexible.  When required, jury trials are scheduled on Mondays.  See the job description below.
