Bestselling Author Gail Carriger to visit Pendleton
Best-selling author Gail Carriger is coming to Pendleton!
Gail Carriger has multiple NYT bestsellers and millions of books in print in dozens of different languages. She writes book hugs - comedies of manners mixed with steampunk, urban fantasy, or sci-fi (and cozy queer joy as GL Carriger). She is best known for the Parasol Protectorate and Finishing School series. She was once an archaeologist and is fond of shoes, octopuses, and tea. gailcarriger.com
The author visit is funded by community donations and the Gayle E. Blek Endowment. During her time in Pendleton, Gail Carriger will visit Sunridge Middle School and two community events, both benefiting local nonprofits:

Each October, costumed performers help bring residents of the historic Olney Cemetery to life in the "Quiet Neighbors" cemetery tour. Quiet Neighbors is a joint venture between Pendleton Public Library, Olney Cemetery, and the Umatilla County Historical Society.
